Events of the Heart is proud to announce our performance for the members of SAG in Los Angeles, CA on November 5, 2009.

With performances by Brenda Strong, Shelly Goldstein, Stephen Collins, Lupe Ontiveros, and Sharon Lawrence. Directed by Christine LaMonte and pieces by Abigail Pogrebin, Shelly Goldstein and Doug Wright.

Our performance will feature our upcoming "Million Women's Heart Project", messaging to and testing 1 million women by 2012. Our purpose is simple:

-To examine in a dramatic and measurable way, the reasons why heart disease has remained, for over two decades, the #1 killer of all women.
-To work together to get 1 million women’s hearts checked.
-To message to one million women and collect the stories about what’s at the heart of their lives

Our goal is to convey the reality to women of how stress, high blood pressure, obesity, broken-heart syndrome as well as other risk factors are the prime factors of their heart disease. The Women’s Conference is the largest and most dynamic gathering of women in the nation. It is recognized for its unparalleled capacity to empower and inspire women to become architects of change. The annual conference unites more than sixty internationally acclaimed leaders and visionaries with 14,000 women in one arena, plus thousands more virtually, to share enriching stories of transformation and success, words of encouragement and life lessons. What an opportunity to reach out to women in this venue with this message!
